A1570 EMAT is the high-end EMAT data acquisition frontend unit designed for integration in automated inspection setups & scanning systems (crawlers) for couplant-free thickness measurements on metallic objects. The pulser and receiver of A1570 EMAT can drive the regular EMAT transducers with permanent magnets as well as the novel EMAT probes with pulse magnetization. The instrument possesses an integrated battery and wireless data interface for stand-alone operation.
With the well-documented SDK the user is enabled to develop his own software applications for customized inspection tasks.
A1570 EMAT is dedicated to conducting ultrasonic thickness measurements by means of electromagnetic-acoustic transducers. The instrument is suitable for variety of applications, such as:

The A1570 EMAT is a high-end EMAT data acquisition frontend unit designed for integration in automated inspection setups and scanning systems (crawlers) for couplant-free thickness measurements on metallic objects.
The A1570 EMAT suits a variety of applications, such as automated and mechanized corrosion testing on pipelines and storage tanks, thickness measurements on boiler tubes and heat exchangers, ultrasonic measurements on high-temperature objects, and in-situ ultrasonic stress measurements.
With its integrated battery and wireless data interface, the A1570 EMAT also operates as a stand-alone unit, and the well-documented SDK lets users develop their own software for customized inspection tasks.

- OEM ultrasonic pulser-receiver frontend for couplant-free thickness measurements with electromagnetic-acoustic transducers, built for automated inspection setups and crawlers.
- The A1570 EMAT drives regular EMAT transducers with permanent magnets as well as novel EMAT probes with pulse magnetization, through Lemo 00 and Lemo 2K interfaces.
- Transmitter with bipolar burst of ±200 V, ±400 V and ±600 V, excitation sequences of 0.5 to 9 periods, and a pulse repetition rate up to 60 Hz with an averaging factor of 32.
- Receiver with data acquisition up to 8 KSamples, sampling rates of 25, 50 and 100 MHz, a bandwidth of 1 to 15 MHz, and a 40 dB amplifier dynamic range including Time Corrected Gain (TCG).
- Data interfaces: Ethernet up to 100 MBit, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, and an external trigger output (TTL + RS485 pulse signal).
