The A1270 EMAT-HT is an electro-magnetic-acoustic thickness gauge for high-temperature applications, offering an unbeatable operating range of up to 800 degrees Celsius.
Typical applications of the A1270 EMAT-HT include thickness measurement of hot steel pipes and steel objects, parts and nodes made of metals and alloys without the use of coupling liquid and without pretreatment of the surfaces, even at full operating temperature.
The A1270 EMAT-HT also measures hot metal objects through corrosive and paint coatings up to 1.5 mm thick, providing accurate and reliable readings where conventional contact gauges cannot operate.
Because it works completely couplant-free, inspections can be performed on extraordinary hot inspection objects without waiting for cooldown and without surface preparation, which keeps production processes and maintenance schedules running — the practical choice for thickness control of hot pipelines, vessels and structural components in continuous operation.
